Mum's anger at Wes Streeting's child cancer task force 'pause'

Last week, the news broke that the government were 'pausing' the Children and Young People Cancer Task Force. In Parliament today, Dame Caroline Dinenage demanded answers from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting.

Mr Streeting said the taskforce, that had been set up to deliver urgent change, had been 'paused rather than cancelled' as his department looked at the best way to take things forward.

In an article for the BBC, Charlotte Fairall, CEO of Sophie's Legacy, has expressed her anger at this decision asking, 'What is it going to take for the government to make children's cancer a priority?'
